Doctor Course
Doctor course can be taken by Candidates of Science who have scientific achievements and works published on the corresponding scientific specialty and can carry out fundamental and applied research of high level.
Applicants can start the course on 1 December of each year after they get a special decision on enrolling made by Scientific Board of the Institute. The Doctor course of special purpose can be taken during a whole year (there is no limitations on number of students).
The course term is 3 years.

Post-Graduate Course
The post-graduate course can be taken by winners among all applicants with complete higher education and the specialist or Master qualifications. The competition is announced in June of each year, applications are registered up to 15 September.
Payments for the studies are provided either by the State Budget of Ukraine (a number of students is determined by Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine) or by juridical and physical subjects according to the corresponding contracts (this number of students has no limitations).
The post-graduate course term:
- 3 years for full-time students;
- 4 years for external students.

Thesis Defense above the Post-Graduate Course
There is an opportunity in order to prepare theses and defense them by passing the post-graduate studies. The applicants should have complete higher education and the specialist or Master qualifications. There must be a contract between a scientific institute (with the corresponding post-graduate course) and a juridical or physical subject. According to the contract, for the next five years, applicants have rights to prepare and defense their theses, as well as to study profoundly special disciplines and to take the specialized examinations.
Those people who have already completed any post-graduate course (provided by the State budget) have no right to take it again.
